In September 2023, I took a trip with my dog to the Muskau Park (also known as Fürst Pückler Park or Park Muzakowski) which lies on the border between Poland and Germany.
If you are in the area, stopping for a walk through the park is recommended. You can even walk across the border between both countries inside of the park. Pretty cool, right?
THE ROUTE

The park can be accessed either from the Polish or the German side. It is quite large, spanning approximately 3.5 square kilometres.
There isn’t really a specific route per se, but I would suggest to make sure that you pass the main highlights.
For us, we enjoyed seeing the new castle of Schloss Muskau, which was damaged in World War II but is being restored. We continued through the gardens to the Eichseewasserfall, a small waterfall near the so-called English Bridge. The bridge connects the German and the Polish side of the park, so by strolling across it you are actually crossing the border between the two countries! You can spot the markers for Germany and Poland on either side. We thought that was pretty unique.

In 2004 the park became part of the UNESCO World Heritage.
HOW LONG IT TAKES AND WHO IT’S FOR
We probably spent around an hour walking through the park, but you can easily spend more time. The park is mostly flat with wide, well accessible paths, so it would also be suitable for strollers. This is an easy, comfortable visit that everyone can enjoy.
THE BOTTOM LINE
The Muskau Park was a nice place to visit with my dog. We enjoyed learning about the history of the site and enjoying the beautiful gardens. If you are nearby, I can certainly recommend this trip with your dog!
