Where to stay in Leknica near Muskau Park with a dog

In 2023, I took a short trip with my dog to Leknica in Poland near the German border. During this trip I visited the Muskau Park and the Devil’s Bridge (Rakotzbrücke). I stayed at this hotel, which was a decent choice for a short stay. For a full breakdown of my hotel experience, read the review below.

DOG FRIENDLINESS

My dog was very welcome here. There was no surcharge applied.

THE LOCATION

The property is located right across from the German border near the Muskau Park. There is a gas station and a few shops that mostly specialise in selling cigarettes around, but other than that there really isn’t much. It is definitely not the nicest location, but for the convenience of being near the park it worked for me. There was free parking provided.

THE ROOM

The room can be best described as functional. It was overall well equipped with two beds, a TV, a wardrobe and a desk. A free bottle of water was also provided, which was a nice touch.

THE SERVICE

The service was pleasant.

I remember receiving a warm welcome when I arrived and in the morning I was allowed to take the breakfast up to the room without any problem.

I have to admit though, the breakfast was not the best. Everything felt rather cheap and there weren’t really many fresh choices.

THE VALUE

For one night, I paid 66 euros here. Given the overall experience, I would say the value was acceptable. If I was looking for a longer stay where I also want to enjoy the surroundings of the hotel, I would look elsewhere.

THE BOTTOM LINE

This hotel was alright for a short stay with my dog mostly due to the location being right near the Park Muskau. Still, I would probably look for another option next time. I would rate my stay as a 3 out of 5 at best.
