Where to stay in Reims with a dog

In 2024, I passed through the Reims area during a trip with my dog. Reims is located in Marne, France just at the edge of the Champagne wine region along the river Vesle and is probably best known for its beautiful Cathedral.

During our stay in Reims, we stayed at this hotel, which was a pretty good choice. For a full breakdown of my hotel experience, read the review below.

DOG FRIENDLINESS

My dog was very welcome here. There was no surcharge applied.

THE LOCATION

The hotel was in a decent location for exploring Reims on foot. It is located approximately a 30 minute walk away from the famous Reims Cathedral. The route towards the Cathedral also takes you past the Hautes Promenades park and the memorial to those who died in World War I.

THE ROOM

The room was functional with a large bed along with an armchair and a desk. Unfortunately, there was quite a bit of street noise coming into the room but it was still tolerable for one night. The bathroom was fully accessible and had a very comfortable size. There was ample street parking just out front of the hotel which was free of charge.

THE SERVICE

The service was friendly at this hotel. I didn’t have too many interactions with the staff but taking the breakfast back to my room was no problem at all, which I always appreciate.

THE VALUE

For one night, I paid just 57 euros here. At this price, the value was good in my opinion. Not the fanciest stay that I’ve had, but overall comfortable and with everything that I needed.

THE BOTTOM LINE

For a short stay in Reims with your dog, this hotel is a decent choice. It is in a convenient location for walking to the Cathedral, is quite affordable and has easy parking just out front. I would give a 3 out of 5 overall with some deductions due to the street noise.
