Where to stay in Rochetaillée near Saint-Etienne with a dog

In March of 2024, I took a trip with my dog through France and we needed a place to stay overnight near St. Etienne. We ended up choosing the nearby village Rochetaillée where we stayed in this apartment which turned out to be a nice choice.

If you are in the area, I highly recommend taking a trip with your dog to see the Dune of Pilat as well. A true pupper’s paradise!

For a full breakdown of my apartment experience in Rochetaillée, read the review below.

DOG FRIENDLINESS

My dog was welcome here and there was no surcharge applied.

THE LOCATION

The apartment was in a great location to discover Rochetaillée on foot as it was right in the heart of the village with a free public parking lot just in front.

It is just a short walk to the Château of Rochetaillée and beautiful nature surrounds the entire village.

THE APARTMENT

The apartment was very spacious with a large bedroom, sofa and TV area as well as a dining space and a full kitchen.

The apartment left nothing to be desired. Everything we could have wanted was there, including some coffee capsules which were very well received.

THE SERVICE

Naturally, there was no service at the apartment. However, the person who met us to hand over the keys was very kind and explained everything well.

THE VALUE

We ended up paying 67 EUR for one night. I thought that was very good value as the apartment was large, well equipped and right in the heart of town.

THE BOTTOM LINE

This is a nice option for a stay near St. Etienne. The apartment really left nothing to be desired and I would certainly stay here again. A very good 4 out of 5.
