In March of 2024, I took a trip with my dog to Cassis, a town near Marseille on the Côte d’Azur in France with good access to the Calanques area. During our visit, we stayed in this apartment which was overall a nice choice.
On this trip, we went on a hike to discover the Calanque of Port-Miou and the En-Vau beach, which I highly recommend. If you are looking to explore more of the calanques, I can also recommend the Sentier du Petit Prince, a more gentle walk which I visited with my dog back in 2022.

DOG FRIENDLINESS
My dog was welcome here and there was no surcharge applied.
THE LOCATION

The apartment was in a good location with just a short walk down some stairs required to reach the port and center of Cassis.
The walk back up the stairs was a bit strenuous, so take that into consideration when choosing your accommodation.
From the apartment, it was around a 20 minute walk to reach the Calanque de Port-Miou. To me, this was a great location to explore Cassis without the need to use the car.
THE APARTMENT
The apartment was large, and overall quite comfortable. There was a bedroom, a large kitchen area and a dining are with another sofa bed. It also came with its own little terrace and garden area, perfect for a breakfast outside.

The one complaint we had was the mattress in the main bed. After one night, we decided to sleep on the sofa bed instead because our backs really could not take it. We did flag it with the hostess, so hopefully she has had a chance to replace it since our visit.
THE SERVICE
There was no service at the apartment as such, but the hostess was super kind. She met us there to explain everything and also showed us to the secure garage that was included in the price.
THE VALUE
We ended up paying around 566 EUR for four nights, which is not cheap, but Cassis is generally a more expensive area to stay in. I thought the price was justified by the location and the fact that the apartment had its own terrace and parking.
THE BOTTOM LINE
This was a nice place to stay with my dog in Cassis. The location of the apartment is optimal to explore the city and the Calanques on foot and my dog very much enjoyed the garden area. I would certainly stay here again. A very good 4 out of 5.
