Where to stay in L’Escala near Girona with a dog

In 2022, I took a short trip to L’Escala near Girona with my dog. During our visit, we stayed in this apartment which was a very good choice overall.

DOG FRIENDLINESS

My dog was very welcome here and there was no surcharge applied.

THE LOCATION

The apartment was in a great location right in the center of town. There was a private parking spot offered for an extra fee which to us was a great plus.

It was very easy to walk from the apartment to Platja del Rec, a great dog-friendly beach. My dog absolutely loved running along the wide beach, she had a great time.

We also wanted to visit the Roman ruins, but unfortunately for some reason they were closed when we were there.

THE APARTMENT

The apartment was very comfortable. It had two bedrooms, one with a large double bed and another smaller one with bunk beds. There was also a large living room, a kitchen area, a small balconey and of course a bathroom.

THE SERVICE

There was not really service at the apartment, but the person who met us to hand over the key and show us the parking spot was very kind.

THE VALUE

We ended up paying 240 EUR for two nights, which is not cheap. However, for such a large and comfortable apartment in a great location and with private parking, I thought it was fully justified.

THE BOTTOM LINE

This is a very nice place to stay with your dog in L’Escala. The location is excellent and the apartment has everything that you could wish for. I would definitely stay here again. Overall, a very good 4 out of 5.
