DOG FRIENDLINESS
My dog was very welcome here and there was no surcharge applied.
THE LOCATION
The hotel was in a convenient location just off the A6 motorway. Unfortunately there was not much around where we could go for a nice walk. Since we arrived quite late at night during winter, it was not a big deal to us though. There is a parking lot right at the hotel which was very useful as well.
THE ROOM
The room was a little on the smaller side, but the bed was so comfortable. It was heaven. There was also an armchair, which my dog seems to have found equally comfortable. Sometimes, less is more.
THE SERVICE
I have to admit: I love Best Western hotels. This is not a paid endorsement, it’s just my personal opinion based on consistently positive experiences with their brand. The stays are comfortable and the service is always on point. This location was no exception.
One of my friends had asked me to look for and bring back a very specific French chocolate and the concierge helped me find the chocolate, order it to the hotel and even followed up by email afterwards to make sure I had received it. So kind!
If I could have one complaint it was that the restaurant was not open for dinner when stayed there but the breakfast was very nice.
THE VALUE
We ended up paying 110 EUR for one night, which is not exactly cheap. However, the bed was extremely comfortable and the service alone might have justified the price for me. Still, it was a little on steep side.
THE BOTTOM LINE
This was a very nice place to stay with my dog near Lyon. The location of the hotel is convenient if you are looking for an overnight stop and the staff was first class. I would certainly come back here again. Overall, a clear 4 out of 5.
