This March, I took a trip with my dog to Zamora in Spain. To be honest, it was mostly meant as an overnight stop on a longer car journey, but the city in Castile and Léon surprised us very pleasantly.
During our trip, we chose to stay in this apartment which was a great choice. For a full breakdown of my accommodation experience in Zamora, read the review below.
DOG FRIENDLINESS
My dog was very welcome here. There was even a little bowl provided for her, and there was no surcharge applied.
THE LOCATION
The apartment is perfectly located to visit the old town of Zamora including the castle. Did you know that the castle is dog-friendly? The surrounding gardens and San Martin park make it a perfect spot for a walk with the pupper.
THE APARTMENT
The apartment was large and comfortable. It had a bedroom, a bathroom, a large kitchen and living room area as well as a small patio. Due to the colder weather, we did not have a chance to take advantage of the patio but I’m sure that in summer it is a lovely spot to make your stay even more enjoyable.

The whole apartment is very modern and in great shape. Parking was free of charge and plentiful just in front of the door, although I could imagine that in higher season it might be more difficult to find a spot.
THE SERVICE
Even though it was an apartment, the service was lovely. The host was very attentive and made sure that we had everything that we needed. It is possible to enter the apartment without her present, but she also introduced herself to us in person. She also followed up with us after we left to make sure that everything had been well. Above and beyond!
THE VALUE
We ended up paying 80 EUR for one night. While this is not cheap, it was a large and comfortable apartment in a great location and with a very attentive host. So I would still consider it good value all in all.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Overall, this was a very nice stay. Zamora pleasantly surprised us and we enjoyed our time here a lot. If we come back to Zamora, we would certainly choose this apartment again for our stay. A very good 4 out of 5 for me.
